Can i replace a motherboard with an OEM Windows version ???

I have an old HP Pavilion P6 desktop with a dead motherboard (Foxconn 2ADA), the computer doesn't POST, so i'm planning on getting a replacement motherboard for it. Although it being a pre built has an OEM version of Windows 10, i've read that you can't change the motherboard with that type of Windows but never had a proper answer.

So would i be able to replace the motherboard without having to buy a new Windows 10 key?

No you won't be. OEM is stuck with the hardware, only options is if you have warranty on the board but my guess is that you do not.

you can change it with the same model so from asus model X to another asus model X
but for any other motherboard u need to buy a new windows key.
