Hi! So i was wondering if it is possible to upgrade my current GTX 745 with a GTX 1050Ti on my Alienware x51 r2. Not sure if I can even upgrade it to that, but if I can does it have to be single fan'd or can it be double? Thanks in advance!!

NOTE: I have a 240w PSU so I should upgrade it to a 330w PSU right?

Alright so I'm kinda of a beta noob when it comes to computers but, I should be able to install a double fan right? Also what even is the difference between single and double? Idk if one is necessarily better than the other anyway. Thanks in advance yet again.

The 1050 Ti you picked requires a 6 pin connector, like the 1060 in the video. Does your power supply have one? Your 745 doesn't need one, so they might not have given you a power supply with one. You can pick a 1050 Ti that doesn't need one.

I looked on Newegg and saw a PNY blower style 1060, like in the video. The dimensions are about 10" by 5". So I'm thinking as long as you stay within that then you can pick what you want. In a cramped case like that I'd probably pick a dual fan card for any help cooling I can get.

How can I check if the PSU I'm getting has a 6 pin connector? I'm not entirely sure what that is so.. Would it just be better if I got a 1050 Ti that doesn't require one? If so, can you link me one under $180 or around that price range since that's my budget as I also need to upgrade the PSU from 240w to 330w. (NOTE: I'm new to this stuff so I don't understand most of the components)

your alienware has a 6-pin

a 1050 ti is a low power card, you dont need to get the 330w power brick

the alienware case has terrible airflow, get a blower style gpu
