Im new to hardware and I wanted to upgrade my computer ram, I tried looking for pc3-10600 ram but all that came up was pc3-8500. So, I was wondering if they were the same?

Solution
PC3-10600 is more commonly referred to as DDR3 1333 MHz RAM while PC3-8500 is DDR3 1066 MHz RAM. They are both DDR3 RAM but of course the 1066 MHz is slower. The number refers to the data transfer rate speed. To answer if it would work we would have to know which motherboard is in your computer.

Here is a bunch of different 240 pin UDIMM 1066 and 1333 RAM sources (not sure where you are buying)
