Can I Replace t3100 with qx9300 on HP 620?

I have an HP 620 with Intel Celeron t3100 .. can I replace my processor with Intel core 2 extreme QX9300 ..both use the same socket and I found a manual to how to remove the processor on HP website

P7570, 2.26-GHz, 1066-MHz FSB, 3-MB cache
P7370, 2.00-GHz, 1066-MHz FSB, 3-MB cache
T6670, 2.20-GHz, 800-MHz FSB, 2-MB cache
T6570, 2.10-GHz, 800-MHz FSB, 2-MB cache

It either has the GL40 or GM45 chipset.

Depending on the chipset your laptop has one of the faster models from the GM45 list may work for you. As these are not officially supported by HP. Their BIOS may not contain the proper microcode to recognize them. Also, the TDP of the T3100 is 35W. The heatsink may not be able to handle some of the higher end 45W TDP models. So, upgrade at your own risk.

You can find out which chipset you have by running CPU-Z. Then look at the Chipset line in the Mainboard tab.
