Can I replace this hard drive?

Solution
Hello austine,

Yes you will be able to. All desktop pcs are able to be opened and modified. All you will need to do is get the part, replace it with the other hard drive in the system you have. Next insert the os disk into the disk drive then install your os onto the new HDD. Plus I would never recommend a pre-built pc from any company. They sometimes place parts that will break on arrival just to get more money from you.

If i wait and buy the new hard drive like a month or two after, and I have been using the computer with the stock hard drive. Would i need to buy another OS, or would i be able to install the same OS disk that the computer came with?

Yes, or you could just add that HDD to the system running in tandem with the other one that has the OS on it. I currently have four hard drives in my current build. You will just need to purchase another sata cable to plug into the motherboard along with your other hard drive.

Yes I would need to buy another one or yes i can install the OS again?

Once you have the OS, it will be on a disk that should come with the PC. Once you have that disk, and the code on the side of your case to activate it, you can re install it as many times as you want on THAT system and that system ONLY.
