Hello guys, i want to buy an Xbox 360 wired controller to use with my pc, but the one I found is not usb, it has some weird circular connector, and the seller didn't have any adapter, my question is, can I simply cut the connector, and replace it with a male USB connector from a spare cable, or does the adapter has some kind of electronics inside that makes it compatible with USB? One thing I know is that inside the cable there are 4 wires, white, black, green and red which is like the USB cables i guess

that is probably not a 360 controller but an old one from the original xbox.

i never saw a 360 controller that was not a usb, nor seen a 360 with anything but usb to plug things into.

keep looking and you'll find a real 360 controller to use.

it is indeed a 360 controller, probably 1st gen xbox 360, it looks exactly like this one, and that adapter thing is the thing that's missing

Thank you, but the thing is, i cannot buy it because i don't live in the US, and my country doesn't even have online shopping, so you either find stuff in stores, or you cannot buy them, and in the place i live in that's the only thing for now, all i can do is to see if modding the controller will work for me
