I'm about to sell my custom pc and I want to sell it with the windows license I originally bought (my new laptop came with windows preinstalled), but is the windows licence on my pc somehow linked to my microsoft account? Will the buyer be able to reinstall it if I completely reset/wipe my pc and give them the installation disk?

Solution
You bought a specific license for this custom system?
If so, then you have the license key, correct? And you're going to give this to the new owner?

Go into your MS account, and remove this system from the list.
Do a FULL wipe and clean install on this system before you sell it. (not just 'reset')
