Question Can I retrieve data from the SD card I lost?

I lost my SD card, and now all pictures and videos within it are gone. Is there any possible way I can regain access to them? Is it possible that there is copy of all my pictures and videos somewhere on my phone?

No, those files are stored where they are stored, on the SD card.

If you mean physically lost they're gone until or unless you find the card. It's no different than any other storage media in that if you don't have physical access to it you don't have any access to the data on it.

If you mean malfunctioned, there are some data recovery utilities you can try.

But, again, this is a lesson about backing up. At a very minimum you should be uploading photos off that card to your computer and, one hopes, backing up the computer itself, which gives you three copies.

Only if they also exist in the Apple/Google cloud somewhere.

Without that, those files are gone forever.

There is absolutely no way you can recover the data.

Look for it, although there is little chance you'd be able to find such a small thing.

I have lost some of my sd cards before but i was able to find them as i keep them secure.

They are easy to be lost, so it's better to keep them in the sd card box or the card reader or even better a dedicated case for accessories.
