Hi guys,
I'm planning to build a new pc . Because I'm on a pretty tight budget (around $250) so I want to reuse my old pc parts as much as possible. I found a Gigabyte PoweRock kx 420 psu in my build 6 years ago. It seems quite ok apart from the rust on the fan cover which I can easily remove it. Is it fine to put it in my new system?
Sorry for my bad English

Solution
the unit is only a 240W unit, and that is not enough to run a modern system. a system that old probably cannot even support a load of 200W. Rust?
be safe and replace it

I mean...... Rust? 6 year old psu? How did the rust even get there? Moisture build up and corrosion?

I wouldnt. But what are you trying to power with it anyways? Whats is your pc specs?
