I'm trying to build a new PC from scratch using this case:

https://www.amazon.com/Phanteks-Enthoo-Chassis-Window-PH-ES614P_BK/dp/B00K6S1B3Q/

And I wanted to know if I could salvage the drives from my laptop to save on cost.

The HDD:

https://www.amazon.com/Blue-Mobile-Hard-Disk-Drive/dp/B00C9TEBJQ

The SSD:

https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1019591-REG/corsair_cssd_f360gbgs_bk_gs_360gb_force_series.html

Does anyone know if this is possible and/or a good idea? Any help would be appreciated. 😊

The OS will either load or crash but will probably inactivate if works due to the change in hardware.
I would plan on reinstalling Windows just in case. If you switch your activation to a microsoft account before you upgrade then you may be able to reactivate using that instead.

The physical drive, yes.
The OS and applications on it, no.
Alright, I'll be sure to make a backup of my files. Thanks!(y)
