I might build a setup powered by my laptop and I was wondering how I would perform at 1440p and if I Should buy a monitor at this resolution. My specs are
CPU: Intel Core i7 6700HQ
GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 950M
RAM: 8gb
What fps would I get on light games like Minecraft CS:GO and some heavier titles like COD

That youtube link was for minecraft. At this point I think your best bet for this type of info is to use web searches to find someone who has one and see what theire experiences are. I play Saga of Ryzom on a 4 year old lappie (675M) and it plays fine... I wouldn't attempt it at 1440p tho

Can you? Yes if terrible performance is acceptable. A 950M is comparable to an older low end desktop card. Some games might be playable at the lowest quality settings. Newer, more demanding titles wouldn't be playable at all.

The 950M sits at 129th place on the Mobile performance list

At 1080p, high settings, you are looking at

Dirt 54 - 34.1 fps
Ghost recon Wildlands - 21.2
CoD: Infinite Warfare - 31.9
BF1 - 34.3
Dues EX: MD - 15
Doom 2016 - 28.6
FC Primal - 22

Ya can divide by 1.78 to get a "guestimate" of fps at 1440p.

I have looked at all the links but I don't play games as demanding as those even though some of them are light. Could Minecraft compare to any of them in terms of how demanding it is? That would help
