[SOLVED] Can I run 144hz with a HDMI on a Alienware AW2518HF?

Thinking about buying the Alienware AW2518HF, but it comes with an HDMI cable instead of a DP cable. Can I run at least 144hz with the cable? Does my GPU HDMI port support 144hz? Do I need to have the display port to get the full 240hz?

According to the users manual it will support upto 1080p@240Hz with HDMI 2.0.
