I have a msi optix mag241c monitor running into my GeForce GTX 1050 ti graphics card, and now I have found a old monitor that I wanted to use as a second monitor. This monitor doesn't have a cable that will fit in my GeForce GTX 1050 ti, but it does fit in the graphics card build into the motherboard.

Is it possible to make the 2 monitors work together, and is it a smart thing to do?

Solution
It can be done, I do this on one pc at the moment. Normally when gpu is installed the integrated graphics on the motherboard is switched off, you will need to change a setting in the BIOS to make the integrated graphics stay active.
