Hello , i have GTX 1050 2GB my GPU has 2 ports HDMI and DVI , i have 2 monitors one with HDMI port and one with VGA port , i want to ask if i can connect both monitors to the GPU and switch between them when i need , The HDMI monitor is good for gaming and the VGA monitor is good for coding , so can i connect both and witch between them ? and how ?

Solution
It will NOT effect gaming. Just set the gaming monitor to your primary monitor. You will plug in the HDMI as normal. The VGA monitor you plug into the adapter, and then the adapter to the GPU. That's all you need to do. You can use both at one time

i will get a connector to connect the VGA monitor to the DVI port will that work ? i can choose this monitor to work and after i finish gaming i switch to the coding monitor from within the control panel or so ?

can you please tell me more details on how can i get that to work should i plug the HDMI monitor in the HDMI port and the VGA monitor to the DVI port using the connector ? that's all i have to do ?

and will that affect the gaming performance ? if yes how can i use 1 monitor at a time ?
