Currently looking at a pre-built PC for a friend, he has a very limited budget, and doesn't fully know if he wants to commit to PC gaming in the long run, kind of wants to get a feel for it, I found a relatively cheap APU whilst GPU prices are through the roof, would like to know if it's compatible, the specs are as such:

Gigabyte AMD A320 Chipset AMD 760G
Ryzen 3 2200G APU
8GB DDr4 2400mhz RAM
500W PSU (not sure what brand)
Seagate 1TB HDD

Price is good for that, normally I'd say build it yourself but its not that far off, THAT SAID, the PSU they likely give you is a piece of garbage fire hazard.

You're not willing to build yourself? You can probably save a few bucks and avoid the house fire quality PSU.

I'm not 100% confident in building it from scratch as I'm relatively inexperienced, let alone build for my friend, it's not my money otherwise I'd have a crack at it. Also on a side note is there a way to get windows 10 for free via microsoft media creation tool? I saw a video on youtube, the guy who made it is pretty well known amongst the community, and if so what are the drawbacks vs buying a windows key?

You can install Win 10 and skip entering the license key.
Restrictions?
No customization of the Desktop or Taskbar. A randomly appearing watermark at the bottom right, that is on top of everything.

Other than that, it runs just like normal.
I have a long running test of a Win 10 Pro, exactly for this...to see what happens over time. Installed Dec 8 2016, still running just fine.

Of course, MS could cut that off at any time.

And don't install Win 10 Pro if you don't intend to spend the extra $$ for Pro later.
You can't use a Win 10 Home license to activate a Pro install. It would need to be wiped and reinstalled.

Top man thank you so much!

Okay mate, I'll let you know if we go down that route, thanks!
