[SOLVED] Can i run a gtx 1650 on 290 watts psu

Solution
Seems to be a lower end unit made my acbel, but it has a decent output on the 12v rails and is 80+bronze.

I would say that unit is ok for a 1650 as long as it doesnt need any 6 pin. And i wouldn't overclock your gpu either.
We're going to need more info than that. list specs like so:
CPU:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU:
Chassis:
OS:

We're currently on the 9th Gen of desktop processors from Intel. Which version do you have? How old is the PSU? If the system you're trying to run the GPU on is a prebuilt, you're wasting resources.

Its a dell optiplex 3020's Stock Psu

The gpu i have doesnt need a 6 pin and its minimum psu watt requirement is 300w
I should be good right?

In case anyone else comes across this thread looking for answers (as I did), I'm running the Dell Optiplex 3020 MT with this 290W Bronze rated psu with an i5-4590, 16gb ram (2x 8gb sticks), GTX 1650 (factory OC- no 6 pin), 120gb ssd, 500gb hdd and it pulls approx 150W when cpu and gpu are being fully stressed. When gaming, it very rarely pulls more than 135W from my experience. Haven't had any stability issues with this psu so far (only had it a few weeks though). Hope this helps!
