i have a asrock h87 fatality performance motherboard and i was wondering if it was compatible with a gtx770? and if so will it be worth the money? or is it better to upgrade to another motherboard?

Solution
Short answer.. Your motherboard has 1 x PCIe 3.0 x16, and 1 PCIe 2.0 x16. You could technically put the GTX 770 in either of those PCIe slots and it would work. Obviously it should go in the higher bandwidth capable slot which is the PCIe 3.0 x16 slot. (So YES it will work in your motherboard no problem)

But whether this Graphics Card will work in your build that's a different question. First and Foremost what type of PSU do you have. That's the most important question. (Can you POWER this card in your current system?)

Since we already know that your motherboard is compatible and after you answer the PSU question. Your next question should be can you fit This very large Graphics card in your current case and still be able to...

Since we already know that your motherboard is compatible and after you answer the PSU question. Your next question should be can you fit This very large Graphics card in your current case and still be able to route all your wires, and will you have room for any additional add in cards you may have in your system as well.

I have Dual GTX 770's and I can tell you two things. They can get LOUD, and You will also need to make sure your system has adequate and proper airflow.
