Can I run a modded minecraft Server? Intel i3 6100

Hello.

I am looking to build a minecraft server for 3 people and FTB Infinity. I decided to get an Intel i3 6100 and 32GB ram. Is that enough? I won't be playing on the server PC.

It should do fine, though you dont need anywhere near 32 gigs of ram.
If you were to cut that down and invest it on a better processor (Or SSD) you would be better off.

depends on the mods one light mod like more swords 1.7 with 5 players is more than fine on 1gb ram but a hevey mod pack with 5 players may need a bit more power with FTB infinity i would run it on 4gb ram and see how it goes and if not try 6 or 8 i dont think you ever will need more than that also i would get a better cpu like a 6400 or 6600k as it would be much better given that if you play on the server when it is being run it may not run well for you having only 2 cores of cpu power

My friends and I are currently playing on a personal server running Mianite (~140 mods) on a 4590 and 6GB of allocated ram (8 total). There are 5 of us on, and one is playing on the server system.

in minecraft when more than 2 dimensions are loaded at the same time the server may lag a bit other than that your fine (you dont use too much tnt right if you get a 6950x )

no if your going to spend a bit extra get a i5 6400 the 4core will help a lot in server running allowing a smooth gameplay experience for anyone who does not have crappy wifi
a 6300 overt a 6100 is not worth it for this purpose

The i5 6400 has less single core performance than the i3 6100. Minecraft servers are generally only single core.

thats what i did on my mc server it works fine for multi core servers
