Pc specs (Asus prime h270 pro motherboard, Hyperx 16 Gb ddr4 dual channel ram, intel i7 7700k 4.2 GHz, Seasonic 620w PSU 80 plus bronze certified, Windows 10 64 bit) also I have a 1080p 144hz BenQ monitor. My goal is to just have a beefy gaming pc to enjoy my games with high fps. Thanks in advance.

Solution
Yes, your system can handle the 2080ti, and with the still capable I7 7700k, it will drive pretty much max FPS from the GPU, but maybe a little holdback (bottleneck)

But I'd consider getting a new PSU. The 2080ti at stock settings (not boost) consumes about 260w, it can consume up to 300w at boost frequencies.

Although it's only recommended to have a 650w PSU for a 2080ti, it's rare you whole system would even get close to the 620w you currently have. But, your PSU is prob a few years old now, so advisable to get something more sturdy.

Something like this:
PCPartPicker Part List

Power Supply: SeaSonic FOCUS Plus Gold 650 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply ($99.99 @ Amazon)
Total: $99.99...
It might be cutting it close with the PSU.....NVidia recommends 650 watts but they recommend a little high sometimes.

The GPU draws 260 watts.....your CPU draws 95 watts....you can figure out the rest of what you have.....but I think good chance you might be under 620.....but maybe with not much overhead.

Plus you need two 8 pin plugs.

I think the 7700 k might hold it back a little....maybe not.....I think it will be close.

Solution
Take a look at this review of the 9900k
https://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/intel-core-i9-9900k-9th-gen-cpu,5847-3.html
This system only uses a 1080 FE @ 1080p and there can be moderate gains between a 7700k and 9900k. With a 2080Ti the difference will either be the same or only greater. Therefore a 7700k is going to limit what the 2080Ti can achieve, personally I think a 2080Ti is not a good pairing with a 7700k at 1080p.

Thank you all so much for this useful input I'm always unsure of buying new things for my rig and this site has helped me out a lot in the past. Thanks again for so many replies on my first thread.

Would you maybe recommend upgrading to a 700w or a 750w psu?

It's not really needed. As long as your not overclocking like crazy, you won't actually push even close to 650w usage.

The one linked above would be fine.

If on the other hand you want some peace of mind, then look at the same model in a 700w unit, and if the price is close, it may be worth snagging it.

But IMO, a good quality 650w will be perfect for you.
