[SOLVED] Can I run a second monitor with this setup?

Hello all,
I have a quick question to ask, and my computer club didn't know and was recommended to ask here: I have a laptop w/ a 1050ti, an i5-8300h, and 8gb of ram. I would like to get a second display, probably a 60hz/1080p monitor just for Discord or maybe YouTube while I game or whatever on the native display. Could I pull it off without suffering major performance drops? Thanks,

You shouldn't have ANY performance drops. Secondary monitors that are not being used for actual game display have practically no, or very little, impact on GPU performance.
