Can i run arma 3 and dayz on gtx 750ti intel core 2 duo e8500

Hi i have a dell xps 420

My specs

Intel core 2 duo e8500
Gtx 8800gt
Dell otp406 (motherboard)
370w psu
4gb ram

I want to get a new gtx 750ti for around 90$. I watched benchmarks of the cpu and gpu and they worked well but my brother and his friend says it would make little to no differance and that it is not worth it. I asked another guy and he said the same(because of the cpu). I want to know more opinions. Will the games run? Is it worth it?

Judging by the minimum system requirements for the game your friends are correct. I can also infer base on the min specs that the game is heavily CPU bound. Your CPU is just above the min requirement for the game so adding a better graphics card isn't going to help that much. The game will probably run but it won't run too well. You're probably better off saving up for a new build. You're also at the minimum requirement for RAM which will also hurt performance.
