Yes you can 'run' it, but it won't be enjoyable (playable) unless you play on low (maybe even lowest) settings.

far cry 4 and AC unity are completely different engines.

1GB VRAM refers to 1GB of graphics memory and 2GB means 2GB of graphics memory. VRAM has an important role in determining how much textures/ graphics can be rendered by the GPU, provided it is powerful enough.

Far Cry uses a lot less resources than AC:U, they're not comparable. Try running Crysis 3 on your build, and you'll understand the point.
