can i run cs 1.6 without a gpu?

well it is a bostonL ms-7525 motherboard and 3 gigs of ram. it says i got 256mb total graphics memory, 0mb for dedicated video memory, 64mb for system video memory and 192 shared system memory.

well i wish i could but my parents arent going to spend a good $150 for a upgrade, because they think it'll spoil my studies blah blah blah. what about dropping in a gt 710? i know it is a bad card but since i'm not gonna play any high demanding games, will it help me to play css 60fps?

I doubt you can get 60FPS with what you have, but you could/should try to run the game and see what you get, and then you can decide whether you need a real GPU.

I ran CS 1.6 pretty okay on an intel Atom CPU with integrated graphics, getting well, probably only slightly over 30fps with some stuttering.

sometimes u just have to do with what u got.
back then i was happy enough just to play it.
