Can I run CSGO at a good framerate with an i5-4590 and a GTX 660?

Ok so in my current build I'm working with an Intel Pentium G3258 which I think I accidentally fried and a GTX 660 with 12 gb of ram and for some reason on CSGO everything low, I get under 100 fps. When I first built my PC I could run it at 300-400 fps no problem. Would the processor upgrade help at all?

Well, yes, and maybe. If your display can put out more than 100 fps (if you have a 120hz or 144hz refresh rate on your monitor) it will help. If your monitor only has a 60 hz refresh rate it will only display 60 fps, in this case the rest is wasted. The i5 will allow you to increase settings, but unless your able to display more than your graphics card puts out additional frames wouldn't be useful.
