I currently have an Alienware 15 laptop with a gtx 1070 and i17-7700 with 16gb of ram and I am wondering if I add an external 1070 if I could use it to run dual graphics with SLI. My laptop has a PCI, thunderbolt, mini display, and a USB c port, and if I can run dual gtx 1070 (one laptop one desktop) which of these I should use for the external graphics. I also have a 240hz Alienware AW2518H with a full display port and 2 HDMI and I wonder if I can connect the external gpu straight to the monitor itself.

Thank you for your time.

Solution
No. You cannot do this. For an SLI configuration, both graphic cards need to support SLI and the graphics of your laptop does not support it.
