Sooo.... My desktop (running Fallout 4 with ease), has died on me.... while it's being repaired, I kinda wanna keep playing Fallout 4.... my backup is my old laptop, and I'm hoping it can play Fallout 4 at a somewhat reasonable fps, what do you guys think?

CPU: i7 3630QM 2.4 Ghz 4-core
GPU: NVIDIA GT 650m 2GB (DDR3)
RAM: 12 GB DDR3

Also, I won't mind having to play at 720p, if that helps performance... just trying to get trough the weekend, until I get the desktop back :)

You should be able to run the game as long as your expectations are not too high.

My desktop GPU died just two days before Fallout 4 launched. I am currently playing it with my laptop while I am hunting for a good deal on a new GPU; probably a GTX 960 or GTX 970.

My laptop has a Core i5-4200u and a Radeon HD 8850m which is a bit more powerful than you nVidia GT 650m. I play the game at 1600x900 resolution with decent performance. I don't recall the FPS I was getting when I was using FRAPS to check. It was above 30 FPS but there are areas in the game where the FPS will tank.

From what I remember the textures are set to high, shadows is set to low, other settings are medium. Things like anti-aliasing and godrays are off. Draw distances for actors and objects are maxed out at 15 and grass is probably set to around 8.
