Hi,

Can I run GTA V at medium at a playable FPS?

Specs:

• GFX - AMD R7 240
• CPU - AMD FX 6300
• MOBO - ASUS M5A78L-M
• PSU - ATRIX AX-600XB (600W)
• RAM - 8GB

What source says it passes the minimum requirements? Your passmark score is lower than the minimum AMD GPU listed.

Ah well, yeah it should run like a flipbook animation. Go for it.
Depends on your definition of playable. Your GPU is below the minimum requirements. You will be getting... 20FPS, maybe on a 1080p screen, dropping to single digits (Maybe even single frames/second) when things get hectic. That's assuming the game runs at all.

Understand that this is a ballpark estimate, as people don't benchmark cards that low on the totem pole against modern games. I'm comparing BF4 (unlabeled 1080p settings) benchmark for an xfx R7-240. Then I'm guesstimating based off the increased labeled minimum requirements.

GPUs under $90 are really just something you have to question why they are still made. You can get APUs that provide similar performance, and a halfway decent CPU for the same price.

Thanks :)

I can run BF4 on medium at about 20 and ArmA 3 medium at about 20-30 depending on the server.

Does this change anything?

Thanks,

Well, it confirms my numbers at least. Sorry to say it's not looking good. You should get about 12 FPS at medium by those numbers (You may have to change the name of your GPU, or modify the game launcher to spoof a newer card just to get it to run, as some games give an error message instead of launching when below min specs).

Can I run it says I pass the minimum requirments though??
