You will certainly struggle.
Good gaming laptops that can play current gen games are so expensive its not worth it, I guess the price tag is more due to the compact size and how you would be able to play game anywhere.

If you want to play AAA games you will need a powerful desktop pc.

I would recommend you get a an Haswell I5 with a NVidia GeForce GTX 970 4GB if you would like to switch to desktop gaming.
