Can I run my computer without cooling fans?

I have just finished building my computer but I realized that the cooling fans needed adapters to connect to the power source. Is it possible for me to cool the computer with a room fan temporary just so I can turn it on and see that it works? I already ordered the adapters, but they are going to take a couple of days to ship.

Yes, as long as you have a fan on it it'll be fine. Just get those case fans soon.

Can't you plug the fans into the motherboard? Modern motherboards have between 2 and 5 fan connectors, with the added bonus of thermal management.
