Hi

I checked on game debate as to whether I can run Watch Dogs with this system:

i5 3230m
Nvidia GTX 660m 2GB VRAM
1920x1080
8GB RAM
Windows 8.1

They said no because of the GPU but according to what I've read up on it my graphics card is equivalent to a gtx 550 and the Watch Dogs minimum requirement for a graphics card is a GTX 460 768mb. Are they correct?

I would be very surprised if the game ran smoothly at medium settings or even at low settings. Keep in mind you have a mobile video card and your 660M is significantly weaker than a GTX 460 and also the fact that Watch Dogs is a brand new game of the next generation.

Because of that I would agree with game debate. Still you should be able to play in a bearable way in a lower resolution, just don't expect fancy graphics.

If you have the possibility you should more consider a console version. Personally I have something a little bit more powerful than your laptop and I wouldn't dare to buy it before an upgrade.
Sorry, and good luck...

Thanks for correcting me. I had a long day at school, and was in my 9th hour (study hall, I just chill on here during that time) and didn't realize it was a laptops.. Rookie mistake 😀. Go with this man's advice right here!

A GTX 550 is actually a bit weaker than a GTX 460 768MB.
The problem is, it's not quite that simple of a comparison. More than raw power changes with each card generation, so new weak cards are more efficient and even more powerful in some things than old strong cards.

I'm pretty sure you'll run it on low at least; it can't be too badly optimized coming from a AAA company.

Thanks, I just thought you were super-optimistic 😉

Hmm, maybe I was. Today's been an even longer day lol..
