Can I run Windows 7 on ACER Aspire F5-571G-38Y9 and where can I find the drivers

Hi,

I've recently bought an Acer Aspire F5-571G-38Y9. I installed Windows 7 on it and went to search for drivers. Unfortunately Acer only provides drivers for Windows 8.1 and Windows 10 on their web site and I'm keen to keep working on Windows 7. Is it possible with this laptop and where can I find all the drivers?

what drivers are you missing?

you can usually track down drivers part by part. identify what drivers you need and what part they go with.

for instance if need network drivers, you can identify exactly what network card is installed and go that company's site for drivers. and so on. you should be able to get a detailed spec sheet or parts manual from the acer site for your laptop. this is how i do it when i am missing stuff like this.

all you can do is try.

windows update is pretty good about getting most drivers in place for you. that's the first place to try and then i hunt em down one by one using part numbers like i said before. has always worked for me if you're willing to look up the specs of the laptop and seek out one by one.

actually it is good. I get mine from the chipset manufacturer then maybe use the windows updates to download & install or id what I need. ran into some issues using windows updates video & sound drivers.
