Question Can I SAFELY turn off my Samsung Odyssey+ by disconnecting just the usb cable ??

I have a Samsung Odyssey + hmd and I don't like leaving it idling all the time I am doing other things on the computer. It is driven by a hdmi cable and a usb3 cable. The hdmi cable is very tight in the socket on the GPU and I don't want to wreck something by constantly unplugging it.
It seems to me that it should be effective if I either unplug the usb3 cable to it or fit a switchable usb3 dock so that I can just turn it off.
Does disconnecting or switching off the usb cable safely turn off the hmd.
I have asked samsung support and they have told me to ask the retailer I bought it from ???
Thanks for any help

In the final analysis it is simply a USB device. It is NOT a disk drive or anything that contains data. Even drives that you unplug have to have CACHE ENABLED in order to possibly be corrupted. Isn't this how we unplug/disconnect joysticks or any other USB device?

Unplugging it should be just fine.
