Can I Save my Computer?

Jul 9, 2011
Hi, I've currently been looking at building a new computer, but atm I have two old one's sitting here. Was wondering if any of these parts are worth saving or would be able to tide me over till money suffices. The more up to date pc i have here is a stock hp a1640n media center pc.
Base processor
Intel Core 2 Duo E6300 (C) DC 1.86 GHz
1066 MHz front side bus
Socket 775
Manufacturer: Asus
Motherboard Name: P5BW-LA
HP/Compaq motherboard name: Buckeye-GL8E
PC2-4200 MB/sec
240 pin, DDR2 SDRAM
Hard drive
250 GB SATA 3G (3.0 Gb/sec)
7200 rpm
16X DVD(+/-)R/RW 12X RAM (+/-)R DL LightScribe SATA drive
56K bps data/fax modem
Also it has a hp pocket media drive slot in the front as well as a usb2.0 & card reader(memorystick/pro/mmc/sd/compactflash1&2/smartmedia/xd)

looks like the cpu cooling is a AVC G6436NC and there is a fan on the back of the case too, can't measure well but both are about 8-9cm
and the psu is 300W HP POWER SUPPLY 51882625 (DPS-300AB-19 A)

Also i have a geforce 7200gs video card in there i belive its zotac

The computer i am planning on building idly i want to run starcraft 2 and possibly diablo 3 and guild wars 2. I know these components def wont be able to run gw2 but are any of them worth saving like the multi card ports or optical or modem or anything. or any of them worthy enough to work with sc2. if not i'll just make due with BW till i save up money
Your HDD and Optical drive will work if you feel like saving money. The rest will need to be upgraded completely unless your new motherboard supports DDR2.
