can i sent bass to the side speakers

I have 7.1 setup and my side left/right speakers go upstairs to a nice iphone speaker dock, that speaker has decent bass but the songs don't play it because the 7.1 sends only the bass to the subwoofer (i believe). So, can I do something in the sound settings to also send bass to the side speakers so upstairs it takes advantage of that different type of speaker? I use realtek HD audio for the onboard asus 7.1

How is everything wired? You are physically routing two of the channels from the sound card up to the iPhone dock? You can check if the sound options have a cross over frequency you can adjust so it sends lower notes to the speakers, but that would be for all of them, not just dock connection.
