My specs are currently..
OS:Windows 10
CPU: AMD FX:8320 Unlocked
GPU: Nvidia GTX 970 (MSI 4G)
Motherboard: Asus Sabertooth 990FX
PSU: Thermaltake 750W 80+ Bronze
HDD: 2 Toshiba DT01ACA100 1TB (Total of 2 terabytes)
RAM: Kingston HyperX Red 8 GIGS

I'm using a 23" Asus monitor in Landscape mode currently.
(ASUS VS Series VS238H-P)

The monitor I'm wanting to buy is an ASUS VS228NL-P.

I'm wanting to set this to the right of my current monitor and have the new monitor in portrait mode for viewing webpages and stuff while in game and such.
I'm running my current monitor to my GPU by an HDMI cord.

I'd like to buy this monitor and set it to use in the way stated above but I'm unsure as to if it would even be possible with my specs.

If it is possible how would I go about setting it up correctly?
Would I need to buy an accessories?

Thanks for any help and tips you guys can give me.

Wait what do you mean DP port?
Would I plug the new monitor into my GPU or my current monitor?

By CDMI I'm assuming you meant HDMI. My current monitor only has an HDMI Port, DVI Port, and a VGA Port.
My GTX 970 has 2 HDMI Ports and 2 DVI ports.

The monitor I linked before had 1 DVI port and 1 VGA port; no HDMI ports.

I've since found an Asus VG248QE

and I'm wondering if I could sub this one for the other and it still work.

I'm not too happy about the $200.. I'm wanting to spend something a little less than that. I need a monitor that can stand in portrait mode and is 1080p with the smallest screen size being 21.5".
Do you know any monitors I could cop for cheap with the above features?

Thanks for the help by the way dude.

Would it really matter if it was without an HDMI port? since my current monitor does have a DVI port.
I'm going to be using the second monitor for mostly reading stuff and web browsing.
