Hey everyone! I wish you can help me with this, I'm not sure if this is a stupid question or not but Would really be helpful if you can give me some answers to my questions..

But before that here is my rig.

CPU: i5-4460 @3.2GHZ
RAM: 8GIG Dual Channel DD3 @800mhz (9-10-9-26)
MOBO: MSI H97M-G43(MS-7924) (Socket 0)
Storage: 120G SSD Atachi for OS and 1Terabyte Hitachi HDD for Storage
VCARD: 1023MB GTX 750 Inno3d Brand

I was wondering if I can buy another GTX750 and make it SLI?? is that even possible? and also If I can't do that. Do you have any recommendation for my next upgrade for my video card?? Thank you in advance. I hope I have given you enough information about my computer to give me a good answer.. ^_^

Jeff_49, depends on what games you want to play. Games like Assassin's Creed Unity and The Witcher 3 are supposed to work better with NVIDIA but from a simple look at the specs on paper comparing both GPUs the clear winner is the R9 380. I recommend you getting one with 4GB Vram. As new games come out I am noticing increased need of Vram to load all those cool high resolution textures that make everything look nice and realistic. Your monitor is fine, games are getting more demanding so staying with 1080p is better and saves you money.

I can't recommend using cheap PSUs. If you can, get something like an EVGA 400Watts PSU they go for around $29.99 at Newegg.

almost always go for a single card unless you have the first low and card and want to get a 2nd mostly because its more stable

DirectX 12 games will support the use of more than one card independently of brand, model or if they support SLI/Crossfire. Of course those games are around 1-2years away.

The best video cards at the moment for budget gaming are the GTX 960 and the R9 380. Since you have 600w PSU you could go all the way to the GTX 980Ti but I dont know if your budget would allow that.

@Asus Prime: Hello bro, Thanks for replying. Yes, you're right I cant afford GTX 980TI. So what do you think should be better? GTX 960 or R9 380? GPUBOSS.com said GTX 960 is better than R9 380... And Also I'm thinking of putting my old GTX 750 to my BIOSTAR H81MHV3 With Celeron 1860 Processor with 400W China Made PSU (It's with the cover) Can I do that?

and is GTX 960 or R9 380 is an overkill with my DELL S2330MX 23 Inches 1080P Monitor? Or Should I start saving for 1440P monitor? I only have 300 dollars for the new GPU but I'll be saving and Ill be working for the new monitor is it sounds good.

400 watts isnt enough thats bare minimum for a gtx 960 and an r9 380 calles for a 500 watt minimum.Do not skimp on the psu 400 watt just isnt enough anymore if your getting into mid and higher tier cards.A single r9 380 or a gtx 960 isnt really what id call 1440p cards unless you sli and crossfire them stick with 1080p until you get a better card

Your current rig has a good Power supply (Xigmatek 600w 80 plus)

I was recommending the EVGA 400W to power the Old Computer with the Celeron just to make sure your China PSU wouldnt kill your computer. Power stability is always the first thing you should make sure to get, otherwise all your expensive parts would go in flames or become paperweights.

Ya and your cutting it close to not sure why anyone would run a bare or under bare minimum psu and compromise there whole system instead of spending a few more bucks and get something decent.Didnt say you needed a 500 watt im telling you what is recommended but if you want to continue to play russian roulette with your PC be my guest

if you want to stay in the sub 200$ mark get a gtx 950 or on newegg the 2gb 960 is only 180$ which is a great deal

Hey bro, Thanks for all the help, you have been very helpful to me.. If I change the Power supply of my old rig? I wouldn't do anything else right? Just change it and just connect all of the wires in the MOBO?? and no more software thingy? Anyway, Thanks, I think you're right. It's better to be safe than sorry. haha ^_^

well since you are installing the gtx 750 in your celeron rig you will have to install drivers for it (sometimes windows does it automatically). But you dont have to do anything software related when installing a power supply, just make sure to plug the wires in the right places all the way in.
