I want to know if it's possible to run the MSI reference 1080Ti and The Msi 1080Ti Gaming X in SLI. If so What type of Power Supply would I need to run those 2 cards? I have 750W PSU will that be enough?

Solution
ya but you see for the pascal card its not as good ??

''The company's shift to focus on high-bandwidth bridges for Pascal means that ribbon cables are no longer capable of delivering the throughput (on Pascal architecture) that is demanded for some higher resolution applications. We will validate this independently, but that's the information we have right now. We also asked if two ribbon bridges would provide the bandwidth necessary to effectively equate a rigid HB bridge, and the answer was a firm “no.”''
it should but will operate at the lesser card specs

2ed thing is card height if not the same a solid sli bridge will not fit correctly on the cards tabs [slanted ] I don't guess theres any ribbon /flex hb bridges you would want to use on them cards ??

850w for that sli is as low as I would go but the 750w maybe ok at all stock [no ocerclocking of the card or cpu ]

MERGED QUESTION
Question from TurtleVeangeance : "Sli between a founders edition card and a msi custom card"

Can I do run a MSI GTX 1080Ti Founders Edition and A MSI GTX 1080Ti Gaming X in SLI? If so would a 750W Power Supply be able to run them?

http://www.gamersnexus.net/guides/2474-gtx-1070-sli-benchmark-vs-gtx-1080-and-gtx-1070?showall=1

you can see from there pictures how much stress there is on the 2 cards being not the same height ? all most like there prying each other out [sloppy ]

a flexable /ribbon sli brige would help that and keep the cards at ease in there slots

thing is looks to me too much stress one the cards sli tab and then that bottom card leaning way over got to be putting stress on the cards slot blade and or the pci-e slot ?? look hard and see they all ready had to put some kind of black tape to hole it in or it broke it or something ???

don't let that be you

good luck

how much taller the msi cards are

Solution
don't know of any theres so far no HB ribbon sli bridge that I know of ..

thing is can you find a review site that proves that the HB bridges do so mush of a better job or not or is it more to sales hype ???

maybe some one tested all that ???
