Can I still use broken cpu

cpu broken pin still works but only register ing half the ram can i still run it its a fx 8350 n have 16 gb ram so only runing on 8gb but still runing games ok n past an hour on prime temps seem fine is there any reason I cant run it

I guess not. Seems dangerous though. I wouldn't use it as a primary computer.

Are you sure it is the broken pin causing the issue?

I dont have an actual pinout chart, but chances are that pin is responsible for a portion of the RAM controller, which would explain the missing RAM.

I dont recommend you keep using it, but if you want to go ahead. It only poses an increased risk to damage itself and the motherboard.

its defo the cpu it works fine with fx 4300 but put the 8350 n back to only half ram being useable 16 gb is bit over kill any way so 8 is fine tbh n not my main rig only realy used to ply garys mod n the likes by my yougest kid do you realy think it could damage the mother board

Yes. A broken pin has a fairly reasonable chance to short out the socket. You can use it all you want, it may never surface as an issue. But more prolonged use will increase the likeliness of an incident.

ill be goin back to 4300 not taking the chance mastake buy from ebay guy did mention fault i suld have read it propperly
