Can i store a processor for 9 months and use it after?

Hello im going to buy an A4-6300 since i don't have any money yet i can only purchase the processor. So i wanted to know if i can store my processor then when i get money to buy the rest of the my htpc build then i can use it after and hopefully without any damages and stuff. How can i properly store it to maintain longevity?

You could, but I wouldn't recommend it, if it comes DOA, you wouldn't know and your warranty may be up by the time you find out. It's best to wait until you have the money for both, and by that time, the prices may drop or you may get better products.

It was pretty cheap actually it used to be $64.99 on newegg.ca and now its $44.99

9 months a long time in computer industry, AMD should have a better one around next year.
