Can I stream with the i5 4690?

So I know the i7 4790 has hyper threading but is it worth the extra 100ish to buy it for a beginner streamer who has lots of other things to worry about like school, sports, (im 15). Is it really worth the extra cash and will I notice a difference when streaming. I would toss a gtx 960 on either one and probably an h97 pro4 mobo.
