Can i swap 8-pin connectors from motherboard to GPU?

Hello, people, i have a question about pc building, because i'm a newbie here. I have a GTX 1060 which requires only 6 pin connector to work. I am planning to upgrade to gtx 1070, because it's a great deal for me, but 1070 needs a 6 pin AND an 8 pin connector. But my power supply can handle only one, which goes to motherboard. Can i unplug that cable from motherboard and plug it in a GPU? Or do i need to buy an adapter? Thanks!

No, you cannot do that. For one the 8pin on the motherboard are needed for CPU power and for another it's not the same pin layout.
Bottom line is, if your PSU doesn't have the needed cables/connectors then it's time for a new PSU.

No I wouldn't do that. It's likely your PSU is not powerful enough to support that GPU. Again, if it doesn't have the connectors needed you need to get a new.

Get a new and better quality unit ASAP.
If you try to use adapters and pushing the PSU for more than it can handle, not only do you risk setting that thing on fire but you also risk damaging your new GPU.

With a better PSU you wont need any adapters as the PSU comes with the needed connectors.
NEVER use any kind of adapters from the PSU.

What is your budget for a new PSU and which country do you live?

See if you can find a Corsair CX550 (Has to be the one with Grey label and not Green label) from a dealer in your country.
Else use pcpartpicker or Amazon to buy from another European country.

Yes because the 450w is too small for a GTX 1070.
