Can I swap a new cpu block with this AIO?

Hey,

Quick question. I have a swiftech drive x3 AIO cooler. I believe some of these parts are interchangable. A cpu block I saw caught my eye.

Could I effectively swap out the swiftech block with this one? The waterblock thread size matches up between the 2. Would I have to basically drain everything, swap the blocks and then re-fill. If it isn't too crazy of a process as swiftech seems to advertise it as fully open-customization, I'd be up for doing it.

Aesthetics. The current block that I have from swiftech the RGB is broken and unfortunately I am having a lot of trouble getting ahold of their customer service.

I happened to start browsing and that one caught my eye. Swiftech's components are supposed to be pretty easily swapable but I figured I'd ask anyway.

It looks like you should be able to just swap out the blocks. You'll have to empty your loop and refill it, which could be a PITA. It doesn't look like they included an easy way to empty the loop. Something else to check would be the metals, you don't want to mix aluminum and copper if you can help it, they'll corrode way way faster if you do. So if your radiator is made of aluminum look for an aluminum block. I know a few companies make them, don't remember which ones off hand. As far as the connectors, they are probably the standard G-1/4 fittings, if you had to replace those, just get the right size for those hoses...

Under the specs for the radiator it states:

Brass tubes, louvered copper fins. So i'd imagine that'd work?

As far as the connectors go, would you recommend replacing them? These are basically brand spanking new as I just got the radiator 2 weeks ago. Perhaps if I'm careful they'll work?

I'll research the emptying/refilling. Thank you for your help.
