Can i tape my HDD to my case?

i just bought an extra HDD and it didnt come with any brackets so my question is how to i securely place it in my system without a bracket?

Well the case should have a bracket or bay for it.

You can jimmyrig SolidStateDrives where ever they can fit, but if it is a mechanical hard drive, it's best to have it probably mounted.

It's very inexpensive to buy what you need if you dont have what you need.
