Question Can I transfer windows to my new PC straight from a windows surface instead of putting it on a external drive?

I dont have external drive that I can use at the moment to transfer windows to my newly built PC. So I was wondering if it's possible that I plug in my windows surface instead and transfer it that way.

No.
You need a USB flash drive, 8GB or larger, to boot from.
With nothing else on it, because that data would be deleted.

does it have to be flash drive or can it be a external hard drive ?
