Can I trust case-front 1394 connector on chieftech BX

Hi all!

I've read some horror-stories about faulty cabling for Firewire ports,
that has destroyed equipment for some people.
Can I trust the front-panel connector on my newly purchased Chieftech BX
case to be wired correctly, or should I use the ASUS-supplied backpanel
bracket instead?
I mean. I don't wanna fry my brand new A8V MoBo the first time I fire it up.

Hoping for a quick correct answer, as I'm sitting here right now with
the PSU powercord in one hand and the extender from the wall outlet in
the other.

Use the Asus adapter.

If you own a multimeter, then test the case wiring before using it.
Firewire devices are too expensive to risk on incorrect case wiring.

I was too eager to try it out, and I don't have any Fire-Wire devices
here right now, so I just left that unconnnected and started my testrun.

I do own a DMM however, so I guess I'll probe the wires before I connect
anything to either one of them.
