But you should always have one thing in mind, no matter which brand you're talking about, HDDs are mechanical devices and they might fail or develop hardware errors over time. It's important to always keep a backup of your most important data and to check your HDD every time you have suspicions that there might be something wrong with it. This way in the worst case scenario, if the drive fails, you'd still have your data backed up and you could RMA the drive if it's still under warranty.
