OK...yes...I made an error. Don't ask why or how...just know I did, and I regret it!

New install of Windows 10 on C: Drive. D: 2TB HDD , which was used in previous Windows 10 install (and full of data) was not recognised and I selected "New Simple Volume"! I have tried several partition recovery tools, and nothing thus far. Anyway "new Simple Volume" can be "undone"? Or any tools which can help recover my previous data on the drive?

And yes, I know, it was a bad thing to do!!! THANKS!!

well, you have 3 options. option 1 bring it to a computer place and see if they can help you, best option for recovery, also the most expensive. option 2, get an actual device that recovers it instead of just software, less expensive, but less likely to get your data back, option 3, format the drive and call it a loss, cheapest option, its free, but 100% loss of data

Hi there magicmat,

What do you mean by not working? What happens?

Your safest bet would be to look for some professional help as heavyartillary9 suggested.
Your other option would be to find another drive that is big enough, so you can save all the recovered data. (if any) You do that, so you don't overwrite the data stored on the drive.
Then you can try some of these tools: https://www.lifewire.com/free-data-recovery-software-tools-2622893

Well, i have used R-Undelete which has found everything! Im having to move it all over to a new HDD, but thats fine! I needed a backup anyway! : ) Relieved that it can all be restored! Thanks for the tips though.
