I have a very surface level knowledge on pc's and things regarding pc's so please forgive me if i say something stupid

Pretty much I'm planning on upgrading both my cpu and motherboard from an i3 2120 and an Asus P8H61-MX to a Ryzen 3 3200g and a Gigabyte A320M-S2H.

However I've run into the issue of BIOS, I'm really not sure what to do so it could be a very simple answer but anyway. Any help would be much appreciated

Solution
The BIOS on the current Asus P8H61 (Intel) has nothing to do with the BIOS on the upcoming Ryzen board.

Sure, you can update the Asus BIOS.

Changing from the i3-2120 to the Ryzen 3 220g is a rebuild, not an "upgrade".
The parts have nothing to do with each other.
