For an older model AMD board like that, the BIOS is what you see. It is simpler to use than the newer Gigabyte BIOS'. That's just my 2 cents worth. I still haven't gotten used to the newer gigabyte BIOS yet.

You can always update to the latest version of the BIOS. It is fairly simple.

Check your BIOS version. It is shown in the boot screen at the top-right of the screen for a moment. Then you can check the web site you posted to see if there are any newer versions. Click on "support & downloads" then change the download type to BIOS. You should see all the available versions. Looks to me that there is only one BIOS for your 5.0 revision board. So you should be OK. You have the newer board of that model.

If you ever want to update later on, download the new BIOS and then unzip it. There should be 3 files. Put them on a USB 2.0 (to be safe) drive that is formatted in fat32. Most all USB's come formatted in fat32 new. Boot into BIOS with the USB installed in a 2.0 slot and load the new BIOS from the USB. It shows up as a HDD. It is pretty safe with Gigabyte's dual BIOS. Pick the install file off the USB and don't worry if you pick the wrong one, it will tell you that it cannot load. I have never ruined a gigabyte board and I have made some real mistakes with the BIOS. Just do it again till you get it right. Only had to reset a BIOS once.
