Can I upgrade an Android WiFi 802.11 bgn tablet to 802.11 AC with a USB device?

Hey All !

I have an RCA tablet with Android 5.0. The tablet has WiFi 802.11 bgn. I like watching movies on it but all I can watch is in 480 P (it's slow). My tablet has a standard USB A 2.0 port. Is there a USB device that can upgrade the WiFi to 5G's (802.11 AC) throughput ? Please advise.

Probably not. Android OS has limited drivers included and without root access there is no way to add the driver to the OS. The USB device may not have an Android driver available even.
